This quote means that having a good name, a good outlook of who you are is better than being rich. Being rich has its positive side but also negative sides. Being a good person in general is better than having millions. It also means that happiness is more important than money. Why have money and be unhappy? Life is all about enjoying it, but how are you going to enjoy it if you are unhappy? My dad always tells me "money isn't everything" and indeed she is correct. An example of this quote is a man with millions of dollars but he is unhappy because he has no one to spend not only his money but his entire life. At the end your self-outlook and happiness is way more important than money.
